Dance- introduction ITTW dance with Kat

Today in our hour dance lesson with Kat, we learnt the full choreography for the introduction to the woods scene which is at the end of scene 1.
In this dance sequence, included are many large movements which is typical of musical dance. This type of movement is usually featured because it needs to be clear to audiences what the characters are feeling through their movements and to ensure the movements are clearly seen by everyone.
We included lots of moves that revolved around marching, because travelling in the woods is an action that is heavily used and relied upon during the course of our performance.
Kat has cleverly choreographed certain sections to fit the lyrics and content of the song.
For example, we have a line that says 'There is something in the glade there' at this point, everyone turns their body and head towards the woods and points in that direction, creating the effect that the woods are real and actually not just in our performance.
