Here is a link to my evaluation I posted to another blog post-
http://hollyhoskisonmusicaltheatre.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/dance-performance-evaluation.html
In the second part of this lesson, we looked at how we could
improve on our targets we set earlier in the lesson and movement we could use
to do so. Taylor, Luke and I chose flexibility and choreographed just over 32
counts of movement.
We put together this set of movements to improve our
flexibility which is an essential aspect of dance that must be of a certain
standard to allow moving to be with in a dancers ability.
The moves we chose included side stretches, high kicks and
sitting on the floor in box position and reaching as far forward, holding it
for a few seconds to build muscle memory.
To conclude the lesson, each group in the class taught
everyone their movement sequence which we placed all together in a loop, in
hope if we repeat these sequences as a warm up for our dance lessons, we will
become more subtle. Each group movements were focusing on a different element
of dance such as flexibility, balance and strength.
