Our task was to come up with eight or more counts of choreograph that we could teach to the rest of the class and in the end, combine together to produce one extended piece of choreography.

As you can see, we have really researched the dance style of the 50s and gibes these some thought when choreographing these four mini pieces that are now one. Extension is a key dance technique you need to perfect whilst dancing Jive with out it, the dance movements look weak and look as though the dancer is not putting enough effort in.
Another important feature of Jive style dance is facial expression, this is what really brings the dance and mood of the choreography to life. You need a big smile on your face at all times for the jazz feel to be conveyed to the audience.
