Wednesday 17th- All day rehearsal

Today, is our first performance day. We came in at 8.30 and didn't finish our rehearsals until 4.30 which was the time of the first show! In this time before the first showing of In To The Woods, we did a full run through in costume. This went really well and everyone was relived at how it flowed right the way through and everyone remembering their entrances and exits really helped with this process.
Through out the day we had to set up the whole performance space and that included setting up all of the props in the correct places, ensuring the costumes were all made and ready to be used and putting the finishing touches to the outdoor performance space. This included re assembling Rapunzel's tower, cutting back some trees and foliage and arranging Grandma's house bed. Each cast member was assigned a job to do and this made the process a lot easier!
I believe that through out this whole process, not only today, but from our first In to the Woods rehearsal, our whole class have always got on really well and been able to work together, co operating to create a pleasant working atmosphere to act in.
This rehearsal highlighted to me that now at this stage in the process of bringing the performance together, that I just need to believe in myself that I can do this because I know I am confident with my lines and characterisation.
