Friday 9th January- Singing

Today in our singing lesson with Kim, we were informed as to what we still needed to submit for the singing and vocal unit. I need to perform a duet in the upcoming showcase as I have already performed my ensemble  and solo pieces in our latest performance, In to the Woods. We were given four musicals to chose songs from to perform our duets and solos. These musicals are Cats, Hairspray, Joseph and Les Miserable. We used the rest of this lesson to research these musical's songs and decide on one in which to perform. 

I am going to perform my duet with Jess. We focused mainly on researching songs from Cats and Hairspray as we felt these musicals were more the music genre we are looking for in a song however we did find a couple of potential songs from the other two musicals.

Jess and I feel as though we need to challenge ourselves with this diet and intend of choosing a song which will help us do this and at the same time, bring out the best vocals in us. We have decided we are going to spend two hours on Tuesday after college focusing on finalising our decision as to which sing we are going to perform and start working on how we are vocally going to perform it as well as if we are going to use any movement elements.
